I’m not paranoid: they are out to get me.
The entire insect world that is. I was stung by a bee this week. This is on top of my recent assaults at the hands (feelers, jaws, proboscis, legs and whatever else they are using) of ants, midgies, clegs, fleas and ticks (another two this week). It is starting to look more like a plot than random coincidence.
Generally, I’m not as paranoid as I used to be. My level of paranoia has always waxed and waned with my moods but it tends to get less out of control than it used to thanks, in part, to some good advice.
The advice wasn’t actually given to me, it was from a friend of mine to another friend he was visiting who was in hospital with mental health problems. The lad who was in hospital was complaining that even outside they couldn’t talk freely as ‘they’ were always listening. His friend asked him what he thought it was about him that was so important that anyone would want to spy on him. It was highly likely that ‘they’ had far better things to do than to follow him? And, in the unlikely event that they were listening, they weren’t going to overhear anything top secret anyway.
I have yet to discover what significance, if any, I hold for the insect world.
