HeadsUpScotland – the national project for children and young people's mental health
Improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people is very important. We want them to have the chance to learn and develop, to feel confident and to feel good about themselves. Difficulties with emotional or mental health early on can prevent them from having the chance to live full lives in the future.
Working in partnership with children and young people
HeadsUpScotland is committed to involving children and young people in its work wherever possible and to ensuring that their voices are heard clearly by those who are able to effect change.
Supporting work with children and young people
HeadsUpScotland conducts consultations and research into children and young people's mental health needs. It also exists to help support and develop the broad range of work that is already going on with young people.
HeadsUpScotland and the National Programme
Improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people is a priority area for the National Programme. Funding has been allocated to support the work of the organisation until 2008.
