Mental health and wellbeing in employment and working life is a priority area for the National Programme.
Most of us spend a good portion of our adult lives in employment or other meaningful activity such as volunteering. Positive experiences at work help us feel valued, increase our self-esteem and self-confidence. Work is also an important source of social contact.

The Scottish Centre for Healthy Working Lives and the National Programme
The National Programme is helping to fund the work of the Centre in relation to improving mental health in the workplace and increasing access to employment for those with mental health problems.
